It’s summertime in Australia, which means hours spent outdoors, cold beers, boardshorts and bikinis, and quality time spent with family and friends. Unfortunately, summer also means long flat spells, crowded lineups, and onshore conditions.
Except if you’re at URBNSURF, where it’s always pumping.
In late December we began testing a series of new concept waves, some malibu, some turns, some barrels, and Beast Plus, a heavier, meaner version of Beast Mode. Some of Australia’s best bodyboarders, alongside World Tour rookie Isabella Nicols, charger Reef Heazlewood and the iconic Ozzy Wright, helped us put them to the test.
