Commissioning With Wavegarden

In the months leading up to our opening, we worked closely with Wavegarden to commission our next-generation surfing lagoon, and develop URBNSURF’s first wave menu.

For weeks, we surfed to refine wave settings – from gentle longboarding waves through to heavy slabs – using waterproof microphones to provide live feedback to programmers based on the shore and back in the Basque country. Every few days, we created new presets, which now form part of our surf sessions and lessons in Tullamarine. And we couldn’t be more stoked.

Thanks to the surfers (some of Australia’s best) who helped us develop our waves, and most importantly to Wavegarden, who’ve made thousands of surfers dreams a reality!
