THE CURIOUS TALES OF ITALO FERREIRA

He is explosive and daring, but also shy and very close to his family. He is an idol for a nation of surfers and non-surfers. In a sea where a Brazilian city makes its living from, he catches waves. And if there were any barriers to believe that his life could be different, he has proven that you need to dream and to persist. First Surfing Olympic champion, Italo Ferreira has his story revealed in his first documentary: The Curious Tales of Italo Ferreira.

WEATHER POLICY:
Being an outdoor event, the Outdoor Cinema Series is subject to the elements and will go ahead in most weather conditions providing it is safe to do so. This includes light/scheduled rain so rug up if its looking like we might get a sprinkle!
In the event of extreme or unfavourable weather, tickets will be transferable to a later screening. If the final screening is cancelled or if the alternate date is not suitable, your ticket will be refunded within 48 hours.
URBNSURF encourages patrons to pack smart and bring layers to keep you warm & dry if necessary.
HOW AND WHEN WILL I FIND OUT ABOUT A CANCELLED SCREENING?
Melbourne weather is unpredictable; however we will continue to monitor conditions, forecasts & radars and will cancel screenings as early as possible if needed. Please be aware that a session may be cancelled unexpectedly or during a screening if conditions are deemed unsafe to proceed.
In the event of a cancelled session, ticket holders will be contacted via email and SMS advising of next steps for rescheduling. If you decide not to attend without receiving notice via this process, your tickets will be forfeited.
MY SCREENING WAS CANCELLED, WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
No stress! We will be in touch to reschedule you to another date in the cinema series. If this is the last screening of the series or if dates are not suitable, we will provide a refund.
WHAT FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Gage Roads Brewing Co. will be slinging cold beers all afternoon and our friends at the Three Blue Ducks will have a pop-up food & cocktail bar available too! If you’re looking for something more substantial, the Three Blue Ducks full take-away menu will be available via a QR code ordering system.
IS THE EVENT BYO?
Unfortunately not, but we have a variety of catering options to keep you satisfied.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE?
The $30 ticket includes the movie ticket and a beanbag reserved for ticket holders as well as access to the pre-dinner movie space with a live music/DJ, Food & Beverage from Three Blue Ducks (available for purchase) and a pop-up bar from Gage Roads Brew Co. (available for purchase).
WHAT ARE THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS?
There is no allocated seating, but all ticket holders will be provided with a beanbag for the screening.
CAN WE BRING OUR OWN SEATING?
Seating options will be provided pre-movie and beanbags will be available for all ticket holders. Due to space requirements, no BYO seating will be allowed in the event space.
CAN WE COME TO THE VENUE EARLY?
Absolutely! The event space will be open from 2pm with food & beverage, music and activations all afternoon. Come early, relax poolside with a cocktail, a beer or delicious food from the Three Blue Ducks.
